When guards are NOT worth it

• No meaningful tree cover. If your gutters collect little more than shingle grit and you're cleaning once every year or two, the payback stretches past the point of sense. We'll say so at the estimate.
• Failing gutters underneath. Guards on sagging, mispitched, or rusted gutters lock in the problem. Fix or replace the system first — ideally adding guards in the same visit, when the combined price is lowest.
